A Message to My Future Sibling
Hi! I’m your big brother RJ and I’ll do my best to tell you about life in our home. We live with Mom, Dad, and our dog, Cruise, in the house Mommy grew up in. There are only two rules here: be safe and be kind. Though that may seem simple, I’m finding that a lot of stuff falls into those two little rules. But don’t worry – I’m figuring this all out now so I can help you when you join our family.
There really isn’t a typical day around here. Mom works at home and is with me all day. Dad takes a lot of time off to be with us, too. At home, there is always music playing, lots of books to read, and toys to play with. We adventure out to music class, gymnastics, story time at the library, play dates with our friends, the zoo, or swim lessons. My grandma, great-aunt, aunt, and cousins visit frequently. You never know who is going to stop by any given day! But it is fun!
I say there isn’t a typical day around here because when you go to bed you never know what adventure tomorrow will bring. When I was four months old, I woke up one morning and we all drove to Oregon, and spent the weekend exploring at Crater Lake National Park — it was so much fun!. Since then, I’ve visited 7 more states and 21 countries. Don’t worry, we all agreed to go back to all these amazing places so you can see them too.
There is so much more to tell you but I’ll save it for when you get here.
I really can’t wait! We are going to have so much fun together. In the meantime, get ready for lots of love, laughs, hugs, kisses, and cuddles!
Love, Your Big Brother RJ
What a beautiful message from a very special big brother. Someone is going to be very lucky to join your family. Is this message saying that someone is on his/her way?
Love you,
Baba K
No… Actually, we just started the wait for the second adoption, but you’ll be one of the first to know if there is a new addition to the family on the way. =)
We are very excited for you! Do you know yet if you will be a big brother to a brother or a sister?
No Aunt Pat and Uncle Jorge… Mom and Dad don’t get to choose, but they kinda like it better that way… Let the fun surprises happen when they will happen…
